Hi, your Ultra plan is active and isn’t the reason those models are missing.
Anthropic (Opus/Claude), OpenAI (GPT), and Google (Gemini) models aren’t available for individual plans when Cursor associates the connection with a restricted region. Those models are hidden from the list rather than shown as errors. Details here: Regions.
That’s why you only see models that remain available in that case (Composer, Grok, Kimi, GLM). Auto only picks from the in-region set as well.
Model availability is evaluated per connection, so another account on the same machine can still show Opus/GPT if that session is associated with a supported region for the model list. Availability can differ across accounts and sessions for that reason.
You can keep using the models that stay available, or use Auto for everyday work. If you add an API key for a provider that serves your region, note that provider-side region limits can still apply.
What are some feasible solutions to address model disappearance? Should we revert back to 3.7.x?

You can ask your colleagues how to set it up, or search YouTube to learn about mihomo, Clash, and TUN.
I recommend using the Clash Party client with TUN virtual adapter mode (more low-level and powerful than system proxy) plus Rule mode (more flexible than Global mode). That way, all TCP/UDP traffic can be intercepted and routed flexibly according to your rules.
With this setup, you won’t need to downgrade Cursor, and you won’t need to configure a separate proxy URL or change the HTTP protocol.
