Why is the "add plugin" button missing?

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I have tried many times to add plugins to cursor over the span of months, and hoped I would be able to after updating and removing the application and reinstalling it. But yet, this has persisted. There is a blank space in the ui where it looks like an “Install Plugin” button should be, to the left of “Cancel” but in all the times I’ve tried, it’s never appeared. Please advise on if this feature is no longer maintained. I currently just click the mcp button then copy from github to install but I just wanted to mention this if it fell through the cracks

Steps to Reproduce

Open the plugins sidebar item of the “cursor settings” panel and attempt to install one, for instance, PostHog.

Expected Behavior

I should be able to install the plugin

Additional Information

I use “high contrast” mode but am unsure if this is causing a visual issue?

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey there.

There should be an “Add Plugin” button, like below!

I’m curious if only the button is missing or the functionality entirely. If you run the keyboard shortcut (Command + Return), does it install?

oh yes it does, I didn’t realize it would be on the right side, I tried clicking there and sure enough that works too. I guess the high contrast built-in theme just doesn’t play wright with the blue buttons.
