I just received a verification code out of the blue while using Grok Bot and I’m not sure why. This is the first time I’ve heard of cursor and I just signed up now so that I could make this message. Am I working off of a compromised machine possibly or is it a normal thing to automatically send verification codes directly to users? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

This looks like the verification code sent by Cursor’s authentication system when you sign in for the first time and are asked to verify a phone number.
That said, only enter a code like this into a page or app you opened yourself, and never share it with anyone who contacts you asking for it. If you didn’t request it and nothing is prompting you for it, you can safely ignore it.
