Will MAX Mode Generate Charges After Pro Quota Is Used Up?

Hi Cursor Team,

I have a few questions about my current usage and billing:

  1. I’ve already used up all 500 Pro actions this month and have entered “Usage-Based Pricing”.
  2. When I turn off “Usage-Based Pricing”, I can’t use “claude-4-sonnet” anymore. It tells me to “Upgrade to Ultra”.
  3. However — and this is confusing — when I turn on “MAX Mode”, I can use “claude-4-opus”, and it doesn’t seem to charge me anything.

This makes me very uneasy. If I keep using MAX Mode, will I receive a huge bill at the end of the month? Will it generate any extra charges or not?

Also, if I upgrade to the “Ultra” plan, will using “MAX Mode” before hitting the 20×500 request limit result in any additional charges?
