Windows Grok Bot 0.53.0
Settings → General account:
Cursor
#user_01M2HJWFE70CZV04EGC6D37XS7
Gmail never appears.

Main window: cannot reach your computer.
Retry / Recover do nothing. Update and Reset fail or are unavailable.

Same Google account on iPhone Grok Bot works
(kk huang, the Gmail used for SuperGrok).

Already tried:
sign out and sign in
reboot
rename AppData folders
uninstall and reinstall
sign in with another browser

curl to the Agent Computer host returns HTTP 404 and Server awselb 2.0
so this PC can reach the cloud host.

Please reattach the Windows session to the existing computer.
Do not Reset the cloud computer. Phone is working.

Screenshots attached.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Sign in to Windows Grok Bot 0.53.0 with the same Google account used on iPhone.
  2. Open Settings, General. Account shows Cursor #user_01M2HJWFE70CZV04EGC6D37XS7, not Gmail.
  3. Main window says cannot reach your computer.
  4. Retry and Recover do nothing. Update and Reset fail or are unavailable.
  5. iPhone Grok Bot on the same account works.

Expected Behavior

Settings should show the Gmail address. Windows should attach to the same Agent Computer that already works on iPhone.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the detailed report, and sorry for the delay on the ticket.

First, the good news: your Windows app is logged into the exact same account as your iPhone, and the Agent Computer itself looks fine since your phone can talk to it. You don’t need to reset or reconnect anything, so please don’t click Reset or Recover.

What’s happening: the Windows app completes sign-in, but its other requests from that PC are not reaching our servers. That’s why it can’t load your profile, so you see an ID instead of your Gmail, and why it can’t reach your computer. In most cases, this means something on the PC is inspecting or blocking HTTPS traffic. Usually it’s encrypted connections scanning in an antivirus, or a proxy or VPN tool. Your browser and curl still work because they trust the Windows certificate store, but the Grok Bot app does not. So this isn’t an account setup issue.

Please try these steps:

  1. On this PC, open https://api2.cursor.sh in Edge or Chrome, click the lock icon, and check who issued the certificate. It should say Amazon RSA 2048 M01. If you see an antivirus name or a company name there, that’s the cause.
  2. If you have Kaspersky, ESET, Avast, Bitdefender, Norton, or Trend Micro, disable encrypted connections scanning, or add Grok Bot to the exclusions for encrypted traffic scanning. Pause any VPN or proxy tools like Clash, v2ray, WARP, and make sure Windows Settings → Network & Internet → Proxy is off.
  3. Fully quit Grok Bot from the tray right click the icon then Quit, relaunch it, and wait a couple of minutes.
  4. If it still won’t connect, test once on your phone’s mobile hotspot with the same settings.

Let me know what the certificate issuer shows, what antivirus and VPN you’re using, and whether step 3 or 4 helped. If nothing helped, attach the file %APPDATA%\Grok Bot\desktop-structured-log-spill.v1.json and I’ll dig deeper.

One more thing: access is currently via free trial. If you have SuperGrok, please check that it’s linked at Cursor - The best way to code with AI so you don’t lose access when the trial ends and confuse it with this issue.
