Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Cursor IDE
Describe the Bug
The VSCode setting “Workbench › Panel: Opens Maximized” doesn’t work on Cursor 2.0. No matter what option is selected, the panel never opens maximized.
Steps to Reproduce
Change setting “Workbench › Panel: Opens Maximized” to “always”, and run command “View: Toggle Panel Visibility” (or use the default keyboard shortcut command+j) to open the panel. It will not open maximized.

Hey, thanks for the report. It looks like a regression in Cursor 2.0 related to panel behavior.
I’ll pass this to the team to investigate. In the meantime, you can manually maximize the panel using the command palette:
Open Command Palette Cmd+Shift+P
Search for “View: Toggle Maximized Panel”
Let me know if you notice any other panel-related issues.
