hi @Kalim_Vazir if you have reached the request limit on free plan you can upgrade to a Pro plan using Dashboard > Pro “Upgrade to Pro”.

@Ahmed_Hesham once you reach your monthly limit it will refresh at next date when your account was created.
Could you check Dashboard > Usage, it shows your usage and when it will renew the plan.
@condor Hi Condor, I am on my student plan in Cursor , initially I thought the Student Plan came with free premium now I also got the message:

Does that mean I will get new requests on August 10th? Also I can’t see how many requests I do have etc.
Hi @Ahmad_Anwar could you please check your Account in Dashboard?
The message mentions you are on a free plan and not on a student Pro plan.
Did you verify your student account with SheerID with your .edu email address and claimed the student discount in Cursor successfully?
In case you are not using a verified student account the Free plan would renew on 10th August.
Kindly note that Cursor is not tracking requests in a plan but model and token usage as reported by AI provider used.
On my dashboard I can’t see the current status it keeps loading and loading with no end in sight, and yes I did verify my student account when I installed Cursor, this was 2 months ago I believe. Could you please reach out in DMs to me and help out? As you already mentioned the Free Student Plan should work differently that’s how I had it in mind thanks

That’s completely not user friendly. According to dashboard I’ve started to use Cursor on 2nd July, today is 12 August and I still have this message about limits. Was it too hard to make a notice when I can use it so I wouldn’t have to go dashboard and scroll it? I guess so. And I guess I need to check other tools

All plans renew on the day they were started e.g. If its 2nd August then the amount renews on 2nd of each month.

Hey, I’ve also been experiencing the same issue, “You’ve hit your usage limit,” for about a month. Could you please help me check when the limit will be reset?

I too am getting the “You’ve hit your usage limit” on free plan, but I am not clear how to determine when the monthly quota is reset. I did check my usage from the dashboard and just see a list of events and tokens used, but nothing about when the new month starts. Is this based on when I first signed up for the 14 day pro-free-trial or when the regular free plan started? The reason I ask is my free pro trial started on July 4 and my first use of the regular free plan started on July 22, but now on Aug. 23 I still am getting the usage limit message which I first started getting on Aug 13.

I installed cursor yesterday and got the limit usage hit today . I wanted to try for free pro trial for 14 days . Instead it directly charged me . Please help me to revert the payment and start free trail . I just installed Cursor yesterday and havent even tried much .
hi @user621 If you have hit the usage limit that means that you have used up the trial allowance early. It is not meant as a two weeks free completely period.

i am a pro user just faced the issue, my qustion is that why we are getting forced to sue auto whihc uses chatgpt 3 or some outdated model
in first when we started using it was truly unlimited but now its seems like compnay getting greedy and wants to charge more
if this gose one remeber we are also developers we can match or outperform cursor by bringign somthing rival
