I was super stoked when 0.45.3 came out as it fixed some minor stuff with dev containers but I’ve just updated to 0.45.4 and it broke dev container completely for me!
How do I downgrade to 0.45.3 ???

Could you describe what went wrong? Dev containers should be working in 0.45.3 and 0.45.4
0.45.3 was perfect for me.
Actually after waiting a really long time with Cursor 0.45.4 open hanging trying to install something related to VSCode and containers and me looking for answers it all started to work.
However, I still would like to know how to downgrade!…
hi, I got the same issues. I can not use dev container in 0.45.4. Can you explain how you fixed it?
What OS and processor are you running Cursor on? @kamiljjanek866
windows 11 with ubuntu 24 on wsl. Processor is intel core ultra 7 16 cores
It was stuck on something - downloading a container related component for VSCode - I didn’t even had access to usual container menu from the palette. I restarted it a couple of times to no avail, left it open while looking for solutions and then it went through and have been working ever since.
Our QA had the same issue and he said he deleted all cursor’s data (like all of it) and then it started fine
thanks. I tried for 2-3 hours and then I go back to previous version. Another story is how difficult is to make sure Cursor can not update itself again
How did you get back? That’s still my question for the future.
Back in the days you’d use something like Little Snitch to block DNS requests for software acquired in dubious methods so that it didn’t call home to check if you’re allowed to keep it lol Anyone even remembers that times?
I took inspiration from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNe36xIsJ6g I blocked access to folder and looks like it is working. At least I am using olde version for last 12 hours. Otherwise is auto updated in couple in minutes.
