Hi, I’m fairly new to the forum, so hope I’m doing this right.
I’ve built worker-dock, a simple desktop app for Windows and Ubuntu/Debian that runs and looks after your self-hosted Cursor “My Machines” workers.(if you haven’t used it yet highly recommend) It sets the worker up as a service, lets you pick, add or remove folders, and restarts it if it falls over, so you don’t have to babysit the CLI. It’s a small Rust UI on top of the official Cursor worker CLI.
I built it because I needed something friendlier than constantly editing folders by hand. It’s free and open source: StandEasyOps/worker-dock-public
Downloads: grab the Windows .msi or the Ubuntu/Debian .deb from the v0.2.1 release page.
Ubuntu/Debian install (from the folder you downloaded it to):
sudo apt install -y ./worker-dock_0.2.1_amd64.deb
Heads-up: it’s an early prerelease and the builds aren’t code-signed yet, so expect SmartScreen or OS trust warnings on install. Checksums are on the release page.
First time I’ve shipped anything like this, so feedback is very welcome. Go for gold! I’ve been using it with my Grok Bots and it’s mad how well they work with a local Cursor worker hooked up.
once its running as a service it starts with your machine and has a watchdog that brings the worker back if it crashes, so it stays online without you checking on it.
