Ask an agent for a feedback board and it can build a basic list of requests. The parts that take the time are what usually get left out: stopping duplicate votes without making people sign up, approving ideas, a public roadmap. So I wrote one prompt for Cursor’s Agent that installs a hosted board instead.
What it does:
- adds a Feedback button to every page (a script tag or the npm package, whichever suits your stack)
- adds a /roadmap page with Planned, In progress and Completed columns
- tells the agent not to build its own feedback storage
- reminds it to allow the script in your Content Security Policy, if you have one
I tested it with Cursor’s Agent on a fresh Next.js app and it worked first time, as it did in Lovable and v0.
The prompt and guide: Add a feedback board with Cursor, Claude Code or Copilot | UserNote
Disclosure: the board is UserNote, which I built. There’s a free plan; Pro is $19/month. Feedback on the prompt itself is very welcome, especially stacks where it trips up.
