Add back the "Reapply" feature for code snippets

This feature, that was available next to the “copy code“ in the chat generated code snippets, has been deleted in the last few days and I used it a lot to only apply some of the many snippets that the agents can produce nowadays, not all relevant (so i would just cancel all changes made, and reapply only the bits I actually need).

It’s very important to allow us to granularly apply/reapply code changes to files. Since this feature has been deleted, I need to manually copy the code snippet, go into the file, CTRL+K, edit full file, then “apply this code to the file“… That’s annoying.

5 actions to do now while it was done in 1 click before.

That’s bad. Please reintroduce the Reapply feature.

Yes! My God! Reapply is incredibly useful! I’m astounded it was removed!

I just noticed it’s no longer showing on mine, today, and I’m pretty ■■■■■■. I restored to a checkpoint, and for some odd reason it restored the code to the beginning of the chat, not to where I told it to…I thought I could use the handy reapply code that I’ve used in the past, and nope, it’s freaking gone! Why the he** would you remove that tool?

So I’m not going crazy. They went the completely wrong direction with this - if anything we needed a “Reapply all” button for when we stray too far from the edits and just want to go back to the chat state. I couldn’t find any way to do that except manually hit reapply every snippet and now we can’t even do that.

The entire Chat state management stack needs reworked, it’s a mess.

WTF!!! where is my reapply button!! i cant work without…

and revert i also don’t see.. how can i jump back to a specific point in the history?

to delete such a good feature can only mean, cursor team made new changes and features where the good feature were to complicated to add back, and as Always.. time goes in developing stuff where money flows

I just needed to reapply code today and I noticed that I can no longer do so… So now I’ll just have to manually copy paste? Why not just let us reapply?

yeah, you’re right!!! The “Reapply” feature was really useful for applying only the code needed. Without it, the process is slower and more manual. It would be great to have it back.
