Add POML (Prompt Orchestration Markup Language) extension to Cursor Marketplace

Hi Cursor team,

I’d like to request that the POML extension by Microsoft (poml-team.poml) be added to the Cursor Marketplace.

What is POML?

POML (Prompt Orchestration Markup Language) is an open-source markup language and VS Code extension by Microsoft Research for structured prompt engineering. It provides syntax highlighting, auto-completion, real-time previews, and inline diagnostics for .poml template files.

Why it matters for Cursor users:

POML is specifically designed for LLM prompt development — exactly the workflow Cursor users are engaged in. Being able to author, preview and validate .poml prompt templates directly inside Cursor would be a significant productivity improvement for teams building AI-powered applications.

Current situation:

When trying to install poml-team.poml via the Extensions panel in Cursor, I get:

> “Unable to import extension: poml-team.poml. Only extensions that are available in the Cursor Marketplace can be imported.”

Please consider adding this extension (or enabling Open VSX / full VS Code Marketplace access for it).

Thank you!

Hey @pradelc !
Tarun here from the team!

We now have the extension up and live in our marketplace (find it here).
Also note a caveat - I haven’t configured it to auto pull updates as it seems to be a while since the latest commit.
That said, if u do see them having updates feel free to ping me here, its a simple workflow run for me to update it at our end.

Thanks again!
Have a blast tinkering!
