Adding links to inline editor

Thanks for reporting a bug you have found in Cursor!
Please add the following info to help us diagnose your issue:

:white_check_mark: Check the forum to ensure the issue hasn’t been reported already
:lady_beetle: Provide a clear description of the bug
When using the inline editor, pasting a link results in plain text. If you move the cursor back to the beginning of the link and type “@”, you receive a dropdown with “Add Link” as an option. If you select “Add Link”, it correctly turns the link into a blue highlighted link, but the text before this link is deleted. I did a poor job explaining this, but I have attached a short video before showing this bug.

:counterclockwise_arrows_button: Explain how to reproduce the bug (if known)
See above description.

:camera: Attach screenshots or recordings (e.g., .jpg, .png, .mp4).

:laptop: Tell us your operating system and your Cursor version (e.g., Windows, 0.x.x).
MacOS Sequoai Version 15.4.1
:prohibited: Tell us if the issue stops you from using Cursor.
This does not stop me from using cursor.

Hey, try enabling auto-parsing of links in Cursor settings. Press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + J, go to the Features tab → Editor section.

This is great, i will be sure to turn this on, thank you! This is a nice setting to have checked, but while it is turned off, the bug described above (where previously written text is overridden by the newly created link) is still worth solving I believe, for those that have “Auto parse inline edit links” unchecked.
