Agent AI stopped working with Remote SSH in Cursor (Windows → Linux)

Describe the Bug

Hi everyone,

I use the Cursor App on Windows and connect to a Linux server using Remote SSH to edit code on the server. Until recently, the Agent AI and all network features worked perfectly in this workflow.

Now, when I run the Network Diagnostics while connected to the remote Linux workspace, DNS, HTTP/2, and SSL do not connect or remain pending (as shown in the screenshot below). Only the API, Ping, Chat, Agent, and Marketplace checks pass.
On my Windows machine (when working locally), everything works normally and all diagnostics pass.

I have already reinstalled Cursor, tried rolling back to a previous version, and cleared cache on both sides, but the issue persists.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Has there been any recent update affecting Remote SSH workflows?

I can provide logs and additional details if needed. Thanks in advance!

Steps to Reproduce

Open Cursor App on Windows.

Use Remote SSH to connect to a Linux server.

Open any project folder on the Linux server via Remote SSH.

Run “Network Diagnostics” in Cursor while in the remote workspace.

Observe that DNS, HTTP/2, and SSL remain pending and do not connect.

(Optional) Run the same diagnostics locally on Windows and see that everything passes.

Operating System

Windows 10/11

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Cursor Version 1.1.3

Does this stop you from using Cursor
