Agent instantly reports "no changes to review" with Find Issues

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Immediately after the Cursor update yesterday, the Find Issues agent no longer reviews agent changes. Even when there are clear changes (e.g. 3 Pending Changes), clicking “Find Issues” results in an instant “Agent found no changes to review.” It only works if “Review Diff with Main Branch” is selected, which is total overkill and takes a long time and is expensive in a big PR!

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Have the agent in chat make changes (even a simple one-line text change)
  2. Click “Review” at the bottom of the agent chat (this should take you to the Review screen, where you can see # Pending Changes)
  3. Click Find Issues OR Find Issues > Review Agent Changes
  4. A toast immediately appears that says “Agent found no issues to review”

Expected Behavior

It should start to review the recent changes

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey, thanks for the detailed report. This is a known issue, and the team is working on a fix.

Temporary workarounds:

  1. Use “Review Diff with Main Branch” (like you noticed, it works, but it’s slow)
  2. If your git repo is in a subdirectory instead of the workspace root, try opening that subdirectory directly in Cursor (in those cases, Find Issues usually works)
