I want to define custom agents that come with pre-defined, already added context, as well as model settings and enabled/disabled MAX mode.
Usage examples:
I often work with ComplexClassOne and Two and ComplexComponentOne. So I create an agent named Sally that will always have those added as context as soon as I start a chat with that agent.
I sometimes use Auto, but some other times, I want to switch to GPT 5 @ max mode. This mode, I’d like to map to Agent Charlie.
You can pick the model and max mode. Under advanced you can set instructions.
I used this to make an agent that builds git commit commands for me to modify and run in the shell tool.
[Edit:] I would love it if the mode-builder-UI for this was put somewhere in settings with more space to work with. It is a nice feature but packed in to a complicated and small space to navigate.
Click “Agent” where? The dropdown list? It has not “Add custom mode…”.
