What is AgentMD?
AgentMD is a platform that makes AGENTS.md files executable. While AGENTS.md provides a standardized way to document setup commands, tests, and workflows for AI agents, AgentMD actually runs what they’re supposed to do—with governance built in.
Why this matters for Cursor users
Cursor already supports AGENTS.md natively. But documentation alone doesn’t automate your workflow. AgentMD bridges the gap between “what’s documented” and “what actually runs.”
The problem (with data)
| Statistic | Source |
|---|---|
| Only 6% of organizations have advanced AI security/governance | Splunk CISO Report 2026 |
| 52% cite security/compliance as top deployment blocker | Dynatrace 2026 Report |
| 93% of enterprises are deploying agentic AI within two years | Salesforce/Deloitte |
| AGENTS.md adoption: 60,000+ repos (up from 20k in months) | GitHub |
The insight: The industry is adopting agents faster than it can govern them. AGENTS.md solves the documentation problem. AgentMD solves the execution problem.
