Bug: Browser MCP tools get stuck in an infinite loop and burn units
Affected tools: Playwright, MCP Browser Base, FireCrawl
Problem
Running any Browser MCP step makes Cursor repeat the same action forever. Units keep counting up, and the run never finishes. Clicking “Keep looping” doesn’t help.
Steps to reproduce
- Add a Browser MCP step (Playwright / MCP Browser Base / FireCrawl).
- Start the run.
- Cursor repeats the step endlessly and drains credits.
Effect
Browser MCP automations are unusable and rack up credits.
Please fix this looping issue!.
