Facing this error after installing Qwen Code CLI

Error that pops up:
✕ [API Error: Streaming setup timeout after 6s. Try reducing
input length or increasing timeout in config.

Streaming setup timeout troubleshooting:

  • Reduce input length or complexity
  • Increase timeout in config: contentGenerator.timeout
  • Check network connectivity and firewall settings
  • Consider using non-streaming mode for very long inputs]

Steps to Reproduce

It’s a Constant Bug and i have found no solution online.

Expected Behavior

You will be unable to progress or use Qwen CLI as a whole as the API Error does not allow anything else to happen.

You mention this happens after installing Qwen CLI, though as we are not making that application we can not provide support for it. We are making Cursor IDE and Cursor CLI but as your error is not within our apps, and not an error message we show from our code, we would be unable to change their code.

Could you reach out to the Qwen team to have a look?
