Are you even testing? Browser tab body renders in wrong window

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

The browser body renders in the main window, but the tab is in a separate window.

Also, COPY/PASTE is complete BORKED. Whenever I paste into the cursor chat, it freezes the input and I have to Ctrl-Shift-P → Reload window. I’m having to paste into VSCode, so I can be sure to paste just text into cursor.

Steps to Reproduce

Open a chat in a separate window.
Click the world icon.

Expected Behavior

Copy paste like a normal app.
Open tabs with the body in the same window like a normal app.

Operating System

Linux

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Whatever random untested update I clicked “install” on - desperately hoping it fixed the previous bugs that keep me reloading the windows.

Only to find it just keeps adding more bugs.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report. Let me clarify what’s happening:

Browser tab positioning bug: This is a known issue and the team is already working on it. Several users have reported the same behavior where the browser content shows up in the wrong window.

Copy/paste freeze: This looks like a new issue. Could you help us investigate by sharing:

  • Exact steps to reproduce (what are you copying from, and what exactly triggers the freeze?)
  • A screenshot or recording that shows the freeze
  • Console errors: Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console tab at the moment the freeze happens
  • Does it happen only with plain text, or with formatted content as well?
