Describe the Bug
I just noticed yesterday that my Git repo is cluttered with these [Cursor] Checkpoint commits. I haven’t been able to find any way to disable this in the Cursor IDE.
As you can see in the screenshot, there are even checkpoint commits before my initial commit. I hadn’t noticed this until now—did my Git history get rewritten? What’s going on here?
Steps to Reproduce
Ask the chat agent any question that requires a edit to a file.
Expected Behavior
Keep my repo clean, I want to manually add my git commits when code is ready to ship.
