Auto+Composer is there a difference in those plan: Pro vs Pro+ vs Ultra

Hello,

Did you know if the usage of the auto+composer mode limit are different between each plan?

Did Pro+ has more limit than Pro?
And Ultra more than Pro+?

But first of all for auto+composer.

Thanks,

Hey, good question.

Individual plans Pro, Pro+, and Ultra have two separate usage pools:

  • Auto + Composer pool: a generous pool for Auto mode and Composer. This scales up with your plan. Pro+ includes more than Pro, and Ultra includes more than Pro+.
  • API pool: for specific models like Claude 4.6 Sonnet and GPT-5. Pro includes $20/month, and higher tiers Pro+ and Ultra include more API credits.

So when you upgrade, you get more headroom in both pools, plus access to extra features on Pro+ and Ultra.

You can also check your current usage in the dashboard: https://cursor.com/settings

Let me know if you still have any questions.

Please can you give an estimate? How much more extra usage will you get for the auto + composer usage pool on pro+? Is 2x, 3x, or 4x what you get on pro?

Hey, good follow-up.

We don’t publish a specific multiplier for the Auto + Composer pool on Pro+. The pool scales up across tiers (Pro → Pro+ → Ultra), but we don’t show it as a clean “Nx Pro” number like Ultra is marketed. Ultra is positioned as 20x Pro overall.

A few practical pointers:

  • The API pool side is more transparent. Pro includes $20/mo, and Pro+/Ultra include more credits, see the pricing page below.
  • For the Auto + Composer side, the most reliable way to gauge it is the usage meter in your dashboard once you start using the plan: https://cursor.com/settings
  • Full breakdown of plans and what’s included: Models & Pricing | Cursor Docs

If you’re hitting limits on Pro and mostly using Auto/Composer, Pro+ gives meaningful extra headroom, but I’d avoid quoting a hard “2x/3x/4x” since that’s not how the pool is officially documented.

Alright. Thank you.

The problem with this vague answer is that it is difficult for me, as a heavy user of Composer 2 and auto, to commit to the Pro+ plan if I do not get a guarantee of at least 3x increase in Composer 2/Auto limits too. Otherwise, I’m best staying with multiple Pro accounts , which tbh is a pain in the behind, but at least I know what I’m getting. I don’t want to be in the situation of buying Pro+, getting $60 of API and then only getting, say $30 worth of Composer2/Auto usage. Some clarity would help.

Also, why isn’t there a $120 payment tier?

Hi, I wanted to ask whether there is any difference in Composer + Auto usage between the Plus, Plus Pro, and Ultra plans.

In the documentation, the plans are listed like this:

Plan Price API usage included Auto + Composer
Pro $20/mo $20 Generous included usage
Pro Plus $60/mo $70 Generous included usage
Ultra $200/mo $400 Generous included usage

For Auto + Composer, though, it only says “Generous included usage” for all plans, without explaining whether there are actual differences between them.

Could you clarify if Plus, Plus Pro, and Ultra have different limits for Composer + Auto usage?
