Hey, thanks for the report.
This is a known bug: with “Run Everything” the agent still asks to confirm edits. Tracking:
- Discussion 1: Accept Editing File Bug (since 2.0v)
- Discussion 2: Approve file edits
- If you use git worktrees/symlinks, also see: Cursor 2.0 Agent in Git Worktree asks to write to every file inside the worktree
Temporary workarounds:
- Settings → Agents → Auto-Run Mode → Run Everything - you’ve already enabled this
- Disable External-File Protection and Dotfile Protection
- Ask the model in chat to use relative paths
- Check if it reproduces without worktrees/symlinks and in a minimal project
Could you share:
- Whether you use git worktrees/symlinks/mounted drives
- A screenshot of the confirmation prompt
- Errors from Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console
- The Request ID from the message’s context menu (Copy Request ID)
