Azure Open AI Connection

HI

New to Cursor, Just upgraded to Pro.

I have a few Models deployed on Azure AI Foundry namely o4-mini, 4.1, DeepSeek V2 all with OpenAI Compatible Endpoints. They Work in Roocode.

I set up my Azure API Key, Base URL : https://myname.openai.azure.com Deployment name, I checked this, it deploys under the Default name, o4-mini so my Deployment name in Cursor is 04-miniI enter my API key and the Switch turns Green. However, when i use the Model in the UI, i getThe provided model identifier is invalid.`, any ideas it really is a Great model. Am i doing something Incorrect ?

same promblem

Same problem with AWS Bedrock model too

Same issue @danperks

Hi @Dolfie-01 @Crazybrain555 @JimmC and @gprethesh . The support for reasoning models from Azure is currently lacking. I’ve created this project for the community, that would allow you to use Azure GPT-5 if you are still interested: GitHub - gabrii/Cursor-Azure-GPT-5: A service that allows Cursor to use Azure GPT-5 deployments.

It’s not perfect, but better than nothing until model support is improved
