/babysit disappeared?

I used /babysit pretty often, then last week ish it seemed in the native desktop app to turn into /autopilot (but on cursor.com /babysit still appeared), and now on desktop neither /autopilot nor /babysit are appearing (though it still appears on the web). Is something going on with this? Thanks!

Does this stop you from using Cursor?

  • Yes - Cursor is unusable
  • Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor
  • No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @osdiab-s ,

What you noticed last week is expected: /babysit was renamed to /autopilot (same PR-watching skill). On current desktop builds you should see /autopilot. Typing /babysit should still surface Autopilot via search alias.

Seeing neither on desktop isn’t what we want. Could you try a full quit and reopen (on macOS: Cursor menu → Quit Cursor, not just closing the window), then open a new agent chat and type /autopilot?

If it’s still missing, a couple of details would help:

  1. Do other built-ins like /review, /loop, or /canvas still show in the / menu?
  2. A quick screenshot of the / menu after typing auto or baby
  3. Cursor version from Cursor → About Cursor (Help → About on Windows/Linux)

On the web, a hard refresh is worth a try too - you may still see the old name there even though desktop moved to Autopilot. Docs still list /babysit for now: Agent Skills.
