GPT-5 High and GPT-5 High Fast were recently deprecated, forcing people into Codex or variations of the GPT 5.1 models. I have noticed that GPT 5.1 High and High Fast, as well as Codex, are less likely to finish out the complete task than regular GPT-5 High/High Fast. These models are billed as being more token-efficient and using less thinking tokens on easier tasks, but I find that they are lazier and do not have as high of a success/completion rate with tasks they are assigned, forcing more human in the loop rather than less. They stop to check in after each tiny edit rather than completing the work that was assigned.
Can we please bring these back?
