Browser Cursor / dashboard shows generic error; Slack Connect never starts

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cloud Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

Describe the Bug

On a Cursor Automation, Send to Slack shows Requires connection. Clicking Connect redirects to https://cursor.com/dashboard/integrations, which fails with a generic error (Japanese UI):

何らかの問題が発生しました
予期せぬエラーが発生しました。もう一度お試しください。
(“Something went wrong / An unexpected error occurred. Please try again.”)

I never reach Slack’s OAuth / permission consent screen, so this does not appear to be the links:read, links:write install rejection from Cannot connect to Slack.

Logging into Cursor in the browser (not only Integrations) shows the same generic error page. So Connect → Integrations may be failing because the web app / dashboard itself is erroring.

Other tools on the same automation can connect; only Send to Slack stays on “Requires connection”. The warning “One or more tools require additional authentication to be used” remains.

I’m not attaching screenshots because the automation screen contains private workspace details.

Steps to Reproduce

Open a Cursor Automation that has Send to Slack.
Click Connect next to Send to Slack.
Observe https://cursor.com/dashboard/integrations (or logging into Cursor in the browser) show the generic error page.

Expected Behavior

The dashboard / integrations page should load, and Slack Connect should start the OAuth flow.

Operating System

MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor

Hey @chibadai, thanks for the detailed report!

Good news first: your account and the Slack integration itself are fine. The “何らかの問題が発生しました” page appears when our website fails to render in your browser, and it happens when the browser’s automatic page translation is turned on for cursor.com. The translation rewrites the page while it loads, which breaks it, and that is why you never get past the Slack permission screen. Other tools on the automation connect fine because they never go through that page.

Could you try this?

  1. Open https://cursor.com/dashboard/integrations
  2. Turn off translation, either temporarily or permanently
  3. Reload the page.
  4. Scroll to Slack and click Connect. You should now be sent to Slack’s permission screen.
  5. After approving, go back to your automation and check that Send to Slack no longer says “Requires connection”.

If it still shows the error with translation off, let me know which browser and version you are using and whether it happens in a private window as well.

Sorry for the delay. I followed your steps and was able to connect successfully. Thanks for your help!
