BugBot: "Hide No Bugs Found" setting missing + no response when "no bugs found"

Describe the Bug

I just ran bugbot run and it responded with (eye emoji :eyes:).

but to my surprise, there was no feedback if the test ran or didn’t!

I really enjoyed the feedback via the comment:

✅ BugBot reviewed your changes and found no bugs!

Not sure if it’s a bug or intentional, but It would helpful to have this feature back/issue fixed!

Steps to Reproduce

  • settings disappeared from cursor website -> dashboard?tab=bugbot
  • In PR threads, I just ran bugbot run and it responded with (eye emoji :eyes:). However, to my surprise, there was no feedback on whether the test had run or not.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

@deanrie could you help?

I think @jkaplan should check this out.

We removed the comment when no bugs are found because many found it to be spammy. Instead, you should have a “GitHub Check” for the BugBot run that reports the status. If you don’t, you may have to go into GitHub settings and approve the permission for Checks read/write access.

I just ran it, and just now got a comment back!

Does that mean the feature is back now?

Although the settings page in Cursor still has the option missing:

I feel there should be a settings option to enable or disable (with disabled by default), allowing anyone who needs it to enable it (really useful for feedback ux), while those who find it spammy can disable it.
