"Can additional features such as temperature queries and support for specific applications be added for API users?

  1. Allow users to customize model parameters such as temperature and repetition penalty.
  2. Integrate an ‘apply’ function within the interface. Theoretically, Ctrl+K can work, but the ‘apply’ button in the UI should also be supported, similar to how the Continue plugin for VSCode works, although the user interface of Cursor is more comfortable to use.

By the way, can options such as model context length be added for users?

I agree. Cursor would potentially attract more users if there was more freedom in own key usage, such as being able to select any model/context length etc. Some features would still require payment (copilot tab) + using cursor instead of own API key might be cheaper (since it’s been mentioned cursor has access to bulk API requests for cheaper), so users would still pay for the subscription. Also there would be less frustration with not being able to use any latest models and with unlimited context immediately. Win win for both sides.

I believe that after experiencing significant initial growth in the number of users of cursor, more users will opt for paid services or features during specific periods. It is clear that enhancing API customization support can attract more developers, thereby changing user habits. As you mentioned, the price of the cursor API is highly competitive.
