Can I not use the floating window composer?

Composer’s flying window is super annoying. especially the fact that you can only resize the height from the top but not from the bottom. I feel so frustrated when I’m constantly fighting with it.

Have you tried using it as a pane? It’s a pretty hidden option so you may have missed it:

That doesn’t solve the issues you may be having with composer as a bar, but it may offer a new way of working with composer.
