Cannot produce markdown backticks in cmd+k mode

update: it’s probably backticks isnt it…

I’m trying to produce markdown in cmd+k mode and it just stops right before the ``` triple backticks part

ORIGINAL POST

claude 3.5 sonnet (old AND new) cmd+k requests frequently produce no code. this used to be a problem in cursor-small A B but I let it slide because cursor-small is deprecated.

but now it’s affecting claude too. Not sure what logs I’d need to look at to debug, but what I see isn’t even wrong code, it just either deletes a newline or deletes the entire file.

It’s not even a hallucination issue-- there’s just basically zero output, so it’s almost certainly not an issue with the underlying model unlike many other complaints. cmd+k is THE critical feature in Cursor for me!

something like this has started happening (the diff is just that one line being removed) on a regular basis starting around today.
