I published a skill (use-claude) to our team marketplace from my personal skills. I now want to remove it. I click “Delete” on it, then click “Save”. Nothing visibly changes. The skill stays in the marketplace and can still be installed (the “Add” button is still shown next to it).
Steps to Reproduce
Publish a personal skill to the team marketplace (Customize → Skills → Publish).
Open the marketplace management page and click “Delete” on the published skill.
Click “Save”.
Reload the marketplace list in the Cursor app.
The skill is still listed and can still be installed.
Expected Behavior
after “Save”, the skill is removed from the team marketplace and can no longer be installed.
Thanks for the clear steps and the recording. The Delete and Save you did in the marketplace manager went through, but for this skill it doesn’t actually remove anything. It looks like the published skill lost its team install setting earlier (this can happen after a published skill is uninstalled from the team plugin list on the dashboard), and once that’s gone, Delete in the manager no longer takes it off the marketplace. That’s why it keeps showing with Add next to it. I’ve passed this on to the team.
The way to remove it right now should be to unpublish it from Cursor, the same place you published it:
In Cursor, open Customize and find use-claude in the marketplace. If it isn’t installed for you, click Add.
Go to Customize > Skills and open use-claude.
Click the Published button (or the … menu on its row) and choose Unpublish.
That takes it off the team marketplace and puts a copy back in your personal skills, which you can delete if you don’t need it.
If Unpublish doesn’t show up for you, let us know here and we’ll help you get it removed.
One more thing: if you also imported a use-claude skill into another team marketplace from a GitHub repo, that copy comes from the repo, so it stays after you unpublish this one. Remove it from the repo or from that marketplace if you want it gone too.
