Cannot use Claude Opus 4

First of all, thanks for providing us with Claude’s updated models so quickly, like always!

I do have a problem / question though. I simply cannot try out Opus. I’ve tried extensively, but all I get when I try to send a request is:

We're experiencing high demand for Claude 4 Opus right now. Please switch to the 'auto-select' model, another model, or try again in a few moments.

I understand a lot of people are trying out the updated models, but I’ve gotten this error on every message I send to Opus… I mean you’d think after trying to send it messages about 100 times there would be at least one coming through. It’s even billed me for a few requests, even though they did not come through.

I burn through my 500 fast requests in a couple days, and I don’t mind waiting a little longer to get a reply, but this… And why is Claude 4 not enabled for the slow pool? Seems like a bold move since I guess a lot of people are paying for Cursor because access to Claude (even when you’ve used up your fast requests) makes it worth it. And now you’ve limited it to fast requests (unless you decide to pay extra $$). Maybe add back Claude 3.7 Sonnet Thinking and enable it for slow pool?

I will continue to use Cursor for now, but if Cursor is going down this route any further I will try out Windsurf, or whatever else is available.

Our capacity for Claude 4 is limited at the moment due to the popularity of the model and therefore is not currently available in the slow pool.

Once it’s usage is stabilised and further capacity from our inference providers is available, it should be available in the slow pool soon, but for now if you are out of fast requests, you will need to enable usage-based pricing to use this model.

I have usage based pricing turned on but I still receive this message every time I try to use i

This may be due to our limited capacity, as the model providers like Anthropic are still scaling up their own resources for us to use.

You shouldn’t be seeing the message now, but may see it occasionally during peak usage times.

Same problem again.. :frowning: help !
