Cannot use macOS AutoFill (Passwords) to log in on Safari

Describe the Bug

Hi,

I encountered an issue when trying to log in to Cursor Forum using Safari on macOS.

Environment

  • Device: Mac (Apple Silicon)
  • OS: macOS (latest version)
  • Browser: Safari (latest version)

Issue Description

When attempting to log in, Safari’s built-in AutoFill (Passwords) suggests my saved credentials as expected.

However, after selecting the AutoFill suggestion:

  • The username/password fields are filled automatically
  • But the login action does not proceed successfully

Expected Behavior

Safari AutoFill should correctly populate the login form and allow successful submission.

Actual Behavior

Auto-filled credentials do not work properly, and manual input is required to log in.

Additional Notes

  • Manually typing the same username and password works fine
  • This issue seems specific to Safari (not observed in Chrome)
  • Possibly related to how the form handles autofill events or input validation

Please let me know if you need any additional debugging information.

Thanks!

Steps to Reproduce

When attempting to log in, Safari’s built-in AutoFill (Passwords) suggests my saved credentials as expected.

Operating System

MacOS
