Cannot zoom out / reset zoom in built-in browser on Mac

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I’m using Cursor on macOS and I noticed that when I zoom in the built-in browser (using CMD + “+” or pinch), I can’t properly zoom out. The content stays enlarged, and attempts to zoom out with ⌘ + “–” (or via menu View → Appearance → Zoom Out) don’t restore the correct layout/scale.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Cursor and navigate to the built-in browser / preview pane
    2. Zoom in (for example using ⌘ + “+” or pinch gesture)
    3. Try to zoom out using ⌘ + “–” or via the menu
    4. Observe that either nothing changes, or that layout / UI elements remain distorted

Expected Behavior

Zooming out should return the display to the original size/layout — UI elements and text should return to normal.

Additional Information

This is making the built-in browser nearly unusable on large displays / high zoom levels, which affects readability and overall workflow — especially when I rely on Cursor for previewing webpages or editing content.
I didn’t see an existing report for this issue in the “Bug Reports” section. If helpful, I can record a short screen capture showing the problem.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. The zoom controls are working correctly on my end, so this might be specific to your environment.

Could you please try:

  • Closing the browser tab
  • Restarting Cursor
  • Opening the browser tab again and testing the zoom

Let me know if the issue persists after restarting.

Hi Deanrie,
Thank you for your reply.
I followed the steps, but the issue was still there.
I tried pressing Command + 0 again, and this time it worked!

Thank you for your help — I’ll go ahead and close the ticket.

All the best to you and the Cursor team, you rock!

Karim
