Can't change from 'auto' model for inline edits

Describe the Bug

The auto switch can’t be clicked, the keyboard command doesn’t respond, typing in the search always has no results.

Steps to Reproduce

Attempt an inline edit, click the ‘auto’ dropdown to change model.

Expected Behavior

You should be able to pick the model.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, I just checked and it works for me. Does clicking the toggle with your mouse work for you? Also, try restarting Cursor if you haven’t done so.

Yeah first thing I tried, the problem persists across restarts.

That’s quite strange. Could you let me know if this issue occurs in other projects as well? Do you have any other models enabled in your Cursor settings?

If by projects you mean workspaces, yes.

I have several models enabled including claude-4.1-opus, gpt-5, gemini-2.5-pro.

Enabling / disabling those models doesn’t have any effect.

The ‘regular’ chat interface allows model selection, the ‘Auto’ toggle works as expected there.

The ‘command slash to switch models’ key command doesn’t do anything in either context.
