I can’t change mode from Background to Ask / Agent / Plan, clicking does nothing.
The Local / Background sitch isn’t working either.
Steps to Reproduce
Switch to Background.

Yes - Cursor is unusable
Hey, thanks for the report. It looks like this bug is specific to Windows. On macOS everything works as expected. I’ll pass this to the team.

Just to let you know, I am having this same issue on both my MacBook and Mac Mini. It doesn’t seem specific to windows.

Whilst in Background mode, I simply prompted “You are stuck in background mode, please change to Agent mode”, I didn’t get a response but going forward the chat was in Agent mode. Likely that any prompt will work, it’s probably just kicking it into working properly.

I pressed background mode but can’t do anything to get out of it.
Steps to Reproduce
Select background mode, cant get out of it on a tab. New tabs also have this problem.
Expected Behavior
Allow me to go back to any other mode with either the UI or shortcuts (none work)
