Can't Find "Agent Skills" Toggle in Settings (Nightly 2.3.4)

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to enable Agent Skills following the official documentation at https://cursor.com/docs/context/skills, but I’m unable to find the “Agent Skills” toggle in my settings.

What I’ve tried:

  • :white_check_mark: Switched to Nightly release channel (Settings → Beta → Update channel → Nightly)

  • :white_check_mark: Restarted Cursor multiple times

  • :white_check_mark: Checked for updates manually

  • :white_check_mark: Looked in Settings → Rules → Import Settings section

My Setup:

  • Version: 2.3.4 (Nightly)

  • VSCode Version: 1.105.1

  • Commit: 913a999918b808c4394828f88a65ae8d90f19210

  • Date: 2025-12-23T17:20:41.610Z

  • OS: macOS (Darwin arm64 25.2.0)

The Issue: According to the docs, there should be an “Agent Skills” toggle under Settings → Rules → Import Settings, but I don’t see it anywhere. The documentation clearly states this feature is available in nightly, which I’m running.

Any help or insight would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

The same version has the same problem on Windows as well.

Me too. I have Nightly enabled on 2.3.4. My OS is Mac.

The subagents feature also won’t unlock.
I’m really stuck.

Same here, using Beta nightly build version 2.3.5 and it’s not there

Hey all.

Unfortunately, even though it was added to the docs, it wasn’t quite ready for primetime. You can stop looking for now. We’ll announce more when it’s ready to share!

Is there any expected release date for a version that includes skills, or any timeline for when it might be available?

It will be much benefit for us to apply these powerful features in our team’s daily work…

Hey @Qiu!

They’ll be a part of our next release, but I can’t share a more concrete timeline. You can already try them out on Cursor’s Nightly build.

@user1214 It should be there! Make sure you’re on the latest Nightly (pre-51 at this point). if you still don’t see it, please share a screenshot of what you do see under Cursor Settings > Rules and Commands (but it will be renamed Rules, Skills and Commands if you see Skills!)
