Can't setup a multi-repo Cloud Agent environment

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Background Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

Describe the Bug

I can’t get a multi-repo environment to setup. Everything seems to work fine with just one repo but if I select multiple I’m always greeted with the same error.

I’m going through the environment creation process on the web, I don’t even have the option to use Cloud Agents in the Agents Editor Window for some reason (seems like a separate issue though).

With a single repo it seems to setup properly and work fine although we’ll never get a working environment with 1 repo out of 7 for our case so it’s not an acceptable workaround.

We use the Gitlab integration.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Connect a Gitlab account
  • Create a new environment with multiple git sources
  • Click “Start setup”
  • Watch it fail after a few seconds

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Thanks for the detailed report and screenshots. I was able to reproduce this on our end — multi-repo environment setup on GitLab fails immediately, while single-repo works fine. This is a confirmed bug.

Our team is actively investigating the issue. I’ve escalated it internally so it gets visibility with the right engineers.

Regarding the separate issue you mentioned (no Cloud Agents option in the desktop Agents editor window), that’s a separate feature that may not be available on all accounts yet. You should be able to continue using Cloud Agents from the web interface in the meantime.

I’ll follow up here once we have an update on the multi-repo fix.

Same here:

The error you’re seeing (“multi-repo cloud agents are disabled”) is a different issue from the setup bug reported above. Multi-repo environment setup from the IDE isn’t available to all users yet.

You can create multi-repo environments via the web interface instead - click “New,” then “Select multiple” to add your repos.

If you run into issues on the web as well, could you create a new thread with the exact error message and your setup details (GitHub or GitLab, number of repos, etc.)? That way we can track and investigate your specific case properly.
