Change opus model to medium effort?

Is there a way to change the reasoning effort on opus to medium? I can only see a model with high

This makes no sense. If you use Opus, you need the full version. Otherwise, use Sonnet.

Sorry but pretty sure you should do some research to back up your assumptions.

SWE Bench Verified is a strange benchmark. I don’t trust it, except perhaps the SWE Bench Pro version.

It’s also worth remembering that the Claude family in Cursor is expensive mainly due to the cache read tokens and the invocation of tools with many small edits, and not because of the output tokens.

HI @k3b0 Cursor doesn’t currently support configurable reasoning effort levels (like medium or high) for Claude Opus.
