Chat or Composer doesn't write code/response that can be applied - SOLUTIONS

Problem: Chat and composer both lose apply abilities and start writing ghost code or in code blocks that cant be committed as well as general instructions instead of code.

Sometimes asking “rewrite the code to x file” kicks it back into gear. Add details, or add specifics helps to reroll the response, but sometimes it gets derailed and writes multiple responses that cannot be applied.

I have also used “write in multiline code response” which i heard David Ondrej say once… And that does work sometimes as well. But cursor get specifically stuck lately especially with 4o.

Are there bulletproof prompts that gets chat back into writing responses in cursor apply syntax?

Any guesses on the complete system prompt and how certain prompt syntax could have corrupted the chat to avoid?
