Claude 4.7 is driving me crazy

Claude 4.7 is driving me crazy. It often takes the liberty to modify my code and architecture without permission. Who said it’s better? It doesn’t follow instructions, which is really infuriating.

write it in the rule files that he should not change code on its own. use first architect mode like just talk about it for brainstorming to make a plan. than let him execute. tell in the rule files to do only surgical changes. tell in the rule files what should not be done for example not adding packages without asking.

Same for me. And yes I have explicitly written very strict rules. But it just drifts, not even in a long context; from the very begining.

This is Cursor team’s new trick. They have intentionally made the none-Max models to be a pain so people would pay extra by using the Max models.

They fail to see that they may get away with fooling with their traveler vibe coders.

But they are hurting their core customers, the real software engineers.
