@Pascaltib this is not expected behavior, it would be great if you can repeat that request with thinking and post a separate bug report with request ID so the issue can be investigated. For the request ID please disable temporary privacy mode so Cursor Team can see what happens.
Also you can run in Cursor Settings > Network > Run Diagnostics
Same issue here. This has been going on for several weeks for me. I switched to Gemini because of this. I also use usage-based spend in max mode. Also Gemini interrupts sometimes. But Claude Sonnet 4 is just plain very, very slow.
Yes its very likely that something on your network or home internet connection affects this. Quality VPNs arent an issue usually.
1-3s is very slow. Some users reported that restarting their home router helped, or the computer. For some just restarting Cursor was enough.
