CMD+Enter confirms deletion instead of sending new message to the agent

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Agent asked me to delete files. I do not agree. I got to the chat and typed new task. When I tried CMD+ENTER - nothing happened (delete dialog was out of the screen). I typed few times and agent deleted some files. Then I realise what heppened and clicked “Send” manually.

Steps to Reproduce

See description above

Expected Behavior

I do not expect sending message hot key dynamically changes to something else.

Operating System

MacOS

Version Information

XXXXXXXXXXXXX can not copy this. I have screenshot in my buffer.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a confirmed bug: when there’s a file delete confirmation dialog in a pending state, even if it’s off-screen, Cmd+Enter gets captured and confirms the deletion instead of sending your message. What makes this especially bad is that it can trigger a destructive action without clear consent.

The team is already aware of a broader Cmd+Enter shortcut conflict. Your report adds an important case because it can lead to accidental file deletions, and I’ve flagged that for the team.

Temporary workaround: if the agent suggests deleting files, explicitly reject or confirm it in the UI before you start typing a new message. You can also click Send instead of using Cmd+Enter if you see any unresolved actions in the chat.

Let me know if the deleted files caused any longer-term issues. git should help you restore them if needed.

It would be nice to have an opportunity to track when this issue will be fixed. Otherwise all is good. I was able to restore the files. Thank you.
