Cmd+Option+S triggers agent tap and not save all

Cursor (latest version) on macOS has become extremely slow and full of bugs. The keyboard often doesn’t respond at startup, which makes it very frustrating to use. The older version was much better and more stable.

**Also, CMD + OPTION + S on Mac opens the agent tab instead of saving everything, and there’s no way to disable it. I’ve tried many fixes, and it’s really bad.

Hey, this is a known issue. Cmd+Option+S is being captured by workbench.action.toggleUnifiedSidebar.

I can see you already tried unbinding a few commands (composer.open, aichat.open, etc.), but you need to remove this one specifically:

  • Open Keyboard Shortcuts (Cmd+K, then Cmd+S)
  • Search for Option+Cmd+S
  • Right-click the workbench.action.toggleUnifiedSidebar row and select Remove Keybinding

After that, Save All should work on that shortcut.

About the slow startup and the keyboard not responding, can you share your Cursor version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy) and your macOS version? Without that, it’s hard to suggest anything.

I tried using Cmd + K, then Cmd + S to open Keyboard Shortcuts, but it’s not working nothing opens at all.

If Cmd+K Cmd+S doesn’t open Keyboard Shortcuts, here are a couple of alternatives:

  1. Via the Command Palette: press Cmd+Shift+P, then type Preferences: Open Keyboard Shortcuts
  2. Via the menu: Cursor > Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts
