Commit the changes made in a chat

Feature request for product/service

Cursor IDE

Describe the request

Possibility to automatically commit all and only those changes made in 1 or selected chats, either with you own commit message or an automatically generated one.

For now you could instruct grok code or another small model to make the commits for you, if you explain to only commit the changes in that conversation it should be able to do so. Just make sure to review what it commits :upside_down_face:

But it will often end up committing entire files, even though it only changed some lines, and another model made changes in the same file.
I already did that, but that would be a cheaper, more reliable and faster method and probably not even that hard to develop.

Hmm interesting, thats fair, it does seem that git support adding specific changes instead of entire files, it would for sure be cool if they added this feature!

Then vote for it in the top left, but since the UI changes in the forum, new posts barely get ANY views…

This has been implemented. Can a mod check it as completed?
