Composer / Agent is only giving suggestions and not producing code

I’m not sure what’s going on and wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. Before the holiday break, everything was working smoothly with Agent Mode and the new YOLO Mode. I was making great progress with development.

Now, when I use Agent Mode—whether with or without YOLO Mode— cursor no longer automatically executes commands or makes code changes. Instead, it only provides suggestions. When I directly ask it to apply the suggested changes in Agent Mode, it doesn’t actually make any changes; it just elaborates on what I should do.

It feels like something fundamental has changed, and the application has become practically unusable. Am I missing something here? YOLO Mode used to be fantastic; it would always take action and make changes automatically until it was time to run the code.

Can someone shed some light on this? I need to know I’m not losing my mind!

I have found it does this from time to time. I type something like this “previously you have been providing me with a blue “accept” button for me to apply the code you have created and you then apply that code to my project in xcode”.

I sometimes have to repeat myself and keep pushing it but eventually it seems to kick back in.

yes i have found this to work at times… the issue is this has never been a problem before and i have been using cursor since launch… Also YOLO mode when activated should completly bypass any “suggested edits” type responses. something is going on with core logic or system prompts on Cursors end… YOLO mode is not operational and agent is acting like normal composer

half the time agent is telling me to copy and paste the code…

Confirmed fix… need to uninstall the application if running on Linux with a fresh install fixed the issue.
