Composer with Window Control Panel

Hi guys,

I know, “Window Control Panel ist” BETA.

I have noticed that the “Window Control Panel” for the Composer is not working completely correctly. If I close the Composer Window Control Panel, I cannot reopen it. This does not affect the composer bar or the composer panel.

As a workaround I go to the cursor settings under Beta and deactivate and activate “Window Control Panel” again.

Hi @antismog ,

Are you able to add any screenshots (with any sensitive info redacted)?

The following screenshots would be helpful:

  • ‘Composer Window Control Panel’ when open, and what you click on to close it

  • What you click on to re-open ‘Composer Window Control Panel’

and any other screenshots that would help the devs understand the specific ‘steps to reproduce’ the issue.

Thank You.

Hi,

Please watch the video clip.
I have filmed my screen/desktop and here you can see the bug in Cursor with the “Window Control Panel”.

Hi @antismog ,

I saw the video whilst it was up, it was a good reproduction of the issue.

Hopefully one of the devs will see the issue shortly and it will be added to their ‘to-fix’ list.

To summarise it, as you said in your original post, the ‘window control panel’ icon in composer is not working completely correctly when opening and closing composer, the ‘click handler’ for the icon seems to become unresponsive.

Same problems. When you close the window pane and use other command such as ‘ctrl+i’, then you just cant use the 'ctrl+shift+i‘ to open the pane again.

Same here, sorry for opening a new Post on this somewhere else (should i delete it or link it?)

I’m also seeing this problem.

I usually use control-shift-i to open the composer, I prefer to use the control panel fullscreen UI so after the non-full-screen composer opens, click the button to open control panel.

This works the first time, but I can’t get it to open a second time without restarting Cursor.

I’m seeing this same issue on MacOS. I have to disable Window Control Panel (beta) to use the control panel anymore.

Hey, I just checked on macOS, and everything’s working as expected. Maybe the window’s hidden behind the Cursor window? Try pressing cmd + `.
