Confused About GPT-4 Turbo

Hi,

I’m a pro user. I’m confused as can only see the GPT-4 model. When I use my API I can see the GPT-4 Turbo model.

Both these options have very different results, the GPT-4 Turbo is much better.

Sometime GPT-4 will just rewrite a function I ask to be changed and remove the rest of the script.

I still have lost of uses left.

The only way to get Turbo atm is using the API. They are working on adding Turbo to pro users.

They had GPT 4 Turbo for fast requests a couple days ago but it was removed due to regression in quality of output for some cases. Hopefully it will be back by next week.

For me the difference in quality between GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo is night and day.

I think it would be good if the standard “GPT-4” model is being changed there was some sort of announcement?

Yeah, they did “announce” it by posting in some threads, e.g. GPT-4 or GPT-4 Turbo? - #4 by sualeh

but then, as Sunhua said, found regression and chose to switch back to gpt-4-0613 for now GPT-4 or GPT-4 Turbo? - #12 by arvid220u

Is it not a better idea to keep the model names seperate ie don’t turn the GPT-4 model into the Turbo when it’s not?
