Cursor is consistently hallucinating after a series of attempts to fix an issue in auto mode

Steps to Reproduce

I gave it a problem to solve and then it happened. No user inputs.

Expected Behavior

Solve the problem!

Could you please share more details so we can see what is happening there:

• Which model do you use?
• Is any MCP active?
• Does the same issue occur in a new chat?

If possible please post a Request ID with privacy disabled so we can look into the details? Cursor – Getting a Request ID

Does this occur also if you disable the MCP? We have seen reports that certain MCPs cause such issues.
